| The objective of the present work was to compare three different methods of chemical analysis of vegetable tissue: the method of nitro-percloric digestion, Tedesco et al. and Adler & Wilcox. As material was analyzed 03 samples of the fraction leaves of the litter collected in each one of the two Seasonal Deciduous Forest fragments, collected in August of 1990 in the forest of the “Hill of the Elephant” (Santa Maria city, RS) and in August of 1995 in Santa Tereza’s forest, RS. | A legislação ambiental brasileira tem uma base de elaboração com solidez elevada, porém, ainda apresenta limitações, exigindo da sociedade e das instituições, ações que elas, muitas vezes, não são capazes de cumprir. O objetivo do trabalho foi gerar um documento que proporcione um melhor entendimento da legislação ambiental brasileira, especificamente aos Códigos Florestais de 1965 (Lei n° 4.771/65) e 2012 (Lei n° 12.651/12). Diversas alterações foram feitas, principalmente em relação aos regimes de proteção de áreas de preservação permanente (APP) e reserva legal (RL). | Due to the increasing need for forest roads, parks and gardens with good quality seedlings, the study aimed to evaluate the initial development of seedlings of Bauhinia variegata L. and Ceiba speciosa (A. St. Hil.) Ravenna in different proportions bed aviary on the substrate. To this end, it tested five substrates made from bed aviary: T1: commercial substrate (CS) control, T2: 33.3% of soil (S), 33.3% sand (SA) and 33.3 % Bed aviary (BA); T3: 25% S, 25% SA, 50% BA; T4: 16,6% S, 16,6% SA, 66,6% BA; T5: 100% BA. | A crescente demanda por fontes alternativas de energia tem se demostrado uma tendência mundial. Diante do exposto, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho avaliar o poder calorífico das diferentes frações de biomassa de Eucalyptus grandis e E. urophylla aos 60 meses de idade e analisar a viabilidade econômica do aproveitamento total ou parcial da biomassa, visando geração de energia. Para isso determinaram-se o poder calorífico superior, poder calorífico inferior, teor de cinzas e carbono orgânico dos compartimentos madeira, galhos, casca e folhas. | Esse estudo teve por objetivo analisar a florística, estrutura e diversidade da vegetação arbórea e da regeneração de um fragmento florestal situado na área urbana de Dois Vizinhos, PR, por meio do método de censo. Foram utilizados os descritores fitossociológicos tradicionais como parâmetros de análise, dando indicações sobre o valor ecológico do fragmento. Evidenciou-se a ocorrência de 231 indivíduos em 2.500 m² de área, distribuídos em 35 espécies de 22 famílias botânicas. As famílias com maior número de espécies foram Lauraceae e Myrtaceae, com três espécies cada, seguida por Boraginaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Meliaceae, Myrsinaceae, Rosaceae e Sapindaceae, com duas espécies cada, ficando as demais famílias com uma espécie cada.
